Abhishek Visal and Ajinkya Mehta emerged champions in the Beginner Men’s Doubles category at the Picklebay Zonals – West tournament after defeating Herob Aga and Akshay Vaidya in the final.
Visal and Mehta produced a strong performance in the title clash, winning 21-16 to secure the gold medal.
Semi-final Results
Earlier in the semi-finals, Visal and Mehta booked their place in the championship match with a 15-10 victory over Sumedh and Sagar Diwan, maintaining control during the closing stages.
In the other semi-final, Herob Aga and Akshay Vaidya advanced to the final after defeating Phani and Prem Padayachi 15-13 in a closely contested match.
Final Result
In the final, Visal and Mehta carried their momentum into the title clash and overcame Aga and Vaidya 21-16 to clinch the Beginner Men’s Doubles title.
The result capped a consistent run for the winning pair, who produced strong performances throughout the knockout rounds to emerge as champions in the category.
