Claim: National Security Minister dies due to house fire!
Viral news is claiming that Itamar Ben-Gvir’s house caught fire after the Iranian attack, due to which he died of his injuries. Additionally, the news of Iddo Netanyahu also being killed was spread. But according to reports, the news of his death is false. There has been no official confirmation of the attack on Itamar Ben-Gvir’s home in Tel Aviv. Similarly, no official statement has come yet on the death of Iddo Netanyahu. Some social media posts even claimed that false news about Ben-Gvir’s car accident was being spread to hide the injuries sustained in the Iranian air strike. However, no such report has come to light.

Car accident is of April 2024
In April 2024, Itamar Ben-Gvir’s car collided with another vehicle after breaking a traffic signal in the Israeli city of Ramallah. Ben-Gvir, his daughter and the car driver suffered minor injuries in that accident. Now the same old news is being made viral by linking it to the current tension. Some other social media handles also claimed that Netanyahu’s brother had been killed. But there has been no official confirmation of this death either.

Iran attack
After the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran carried out heavy air strikes on Israel between 28 February and 4 March. According to ACLED data, Iran carried out more than 90 attacks on Israel during this period. About 20 civilian areas were targeted in these attacks, in which at least 10 people are reported to have been killed. Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that more than 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones were fired. According to the report, 40% of these attacks were carried out on Israel and the rest on US targets in the Middle East.
