Zootopia OTT release date and platform: Disney’s highly anticipated animated sequel, Zootopia 2, is finally making its way to streaming platforms after a blockbuster theatrical run. The film, which brought back fan-favourite characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, will begin streaming globally on Disney+ from March 11, 2026.

For viewers in India, the film will be available through JioHotstar, allowing fans to revisit the colourful animal metropolis from the comfort of their homes.

The sequel premiered in US theatres on November 26 last year before arriving in international markets, including India, shortly after. The animated adventure quickly turned into a global sensation.

According to industry estimates, Zootopia 2 grossed an impressive $1.861 billion worldwide. The film became the second-highest-grossing animated film of all time and ranked among the top-ten highest-earning movies ever released.

Disney confirmed the OTT release by sharing the trailer online with the caption: “Wake up, Hopps and Wilde stans, the dream team is back! Zootopia 2 is coming home to Disney+ on March 11.”

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return as partners

The sequel reunites the beloved duo of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, who now work together as official police partners in the bustling animal city. Their new mission revolves around solving a mystery that threatens the stability of Zootopia.

Actors Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return to voice Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, continuing the chemistry that made the original film so popular. The sequel also expands its cast with fresh voices, including Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson and Danny Trejo.

Meanwhile, global pop star Shakira reprises her role as Zootopia’s pop sensation Gazelle. She also performs a new song titled “Zoo,” which she co-wrote with Ed Sheeran and Blake Slatkin. Written by Jared Bush and produced by Yvett Merino under Walt Disney Animation Studios, the film builds on the world introduced in the Oscar-winning 2016 original.
