IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans New Batting Coach: The countdown for IPL 2026 has started. The 19th edition of the league is going to start from March 28. Before this, Gujarat Titans have made a major change in their coaching staff. Gujarat team has got a new batting coach. This responsibility has been given to a veteran from Australia, who has worked with the Pakistan team. Along with this, this veteran has also played as a player in IPL.

Gujarat Titans have appointed former Australian batsman Matthew Hayden as the batting coach of the team. Hayden’s career has been quite brilliant. He played 273 international matches for Australia and scored more than 15,000 runs. He was also a part of the team that won many ICC tournaments. He also played 32 matches in IPL. Now he is going to debut as a coach in IPL.

Gujarat Titans Cricket Director Vikram Solanki said on the decision to appoint Matthew Hayden as the batting coach, ‘The appointment of Matthew Hayden has come at an important stage of our journey. Have worked with Pakistan
Matthew Hayden does not have much coaching experience. However, he has worked as the coach of Pakistan team. Before the T20 World Cup 2021, the Pakistan team had made him the batting coach. Then Pakistan team had also defeated India. After this, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also appointed Matthew Hayden as the mentor of Pakistan cricket team for the 2022 T20 World Cup.
