Uttar Pradesh government has made the booking process of Circuit House and Guest House online. Now rooms in 21 circuit houses and 334 guest houses of the state can be booked through the digital portal. This will increase transparency and common people will also get easy facilities.
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has started online booking service to modernize and transparent the booking process of circuit houses and guest houses of the Public Works Department (PWD). Under this new system, rooms can now be booked online in 21 circuit houses and 334 guest houses of the state. With the booking process being completely digital, people will now be able to get information about room availability easier than before and the booking process will become more simple, transparent and organized.
Digital system under transparency policy of Yogi government
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s transparency and zero tolerance policy towards corruption, the Public Works Department has implemented this new digital system. For this, the department has prepared an integrated web-based Circuit House Information System. Through this online portal, users will get real time room availability dashboard and live room status information.
With this, it will be easy to find out how many rooms are vacant in which circuit house or guest house of the state. Earlier this entire process was done manually through email or phone call, but now it has been made completely digital.
Facility of online payment and digital record management
Under the new system, room booking along with payment and record management has also been made completely online. During booking the applicant will have to upload his/her identity card or authorization letter online. After this, payment will also be made only through online medium. Upon completion of payment, you will automatically receive a booking receipt via e-mail and SMS. Apart from this, records of all transactions will be kept safe in digital ledger, which will make it easier to monitor the revenue.
Real time monitoring from centralized dashboard
In this new system, a centralized dashboard has been prepared at the department headquarters and district level. Through this, real time monitoring of all bookings and revenue can be done. This will not only help in preventing loss of revenue but will also increase transparency and accountability in the entire process. With the implementation of the new system, there will be better utilization of government assets, increase in revenue and common people will also be able to avail the benefits of these facilities in an easy manner.
Rooms also available to common people on first come, first served basis.
Under the new arrangement, some rooms of the Circuit House will be reserved for VIP visits and emergency government functions. Apart from this, the remaining rooms will be available to the general public on first come, first serve basis. People can easily book rooms by visiting the official website of Circuit House Information System https://www.guesthouse.uppwd.gov.in.
In special circumstances, with the permission of the district administration, on-the-spot booking can also be done through the online portal. However, if there is a VIP visit or administrative requirement, the District Magistrate will also have the right to cancel the booking already made.
