Surya Grahan: Solar eclipse is considered inauspicious from religious point of view, but according to astronomy, it is considered a rare event. When the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, when the Sun’s rays cannot reach the Earth and the Moon’s shadow falls on the Earth, then it is considered that the Sun is eclipsed. The astronomical event of solar eclipse always occurs on the new moon day.
In the year 2026, a solar eclipse has already occurred on 17th February. This year, the second solar eclipse is going to occur on August 12, but astronomers and astrologers have their eyes fixed on the year 2027. The year 2027 will witness the most special and rare events of the century. This year the Sun will experience the second longest eclipse of the century.
the day will become as dark as the night
This second longest solar eclipse of the century, which will take place in the year 2027, will take place on 27th August. On that day, the Sun will be completely covered by the Moon for about 6 minutes and 22 seconds. When this happens, the day will become as dark as night. Such a view for such a long period will be seen again only in 2114. This is the reason why this solar eclipse is being considered a very special astronomical event.
Will this solar eclipse be visible in India?
