India won the T20 World Cup for the third time. Sanju Samson became the ‘Player of the Tournament’ by scoring 321 runs in 5 matches. Virat Kohli praised Samson on Instagram and called him the biggest deserver of this title.
London: India created history by winning the title for the third time in the T20 World Cup. The hero of this victory was Kerala player Sanju Samson, who was adjudged ‘Player of the Tournament’. After the title win, Team India’s veteran player Virat Kohli posted an Instagram story praising Sanju Samson, which is now going viral.
Kohli wrote in his story, “You most deserve to be named Player of the Tournament. What an amazing performance! Whenever the team needed it most, you took up the responsibility and played brilliantly. Very happy for your success, Chetta (elder brother).”
Sanju Samson’s performance was really amazing. He was India’s top scorer in the T20 World Cup final, semi-finals and the last match of the Super 8 against West Indies (which was a virtual quarter-final). The surprising thing is that after playing only five matches in the World Cup, Sanju scored 321 runs and became the highest run-scorer for India.
Earlier, Virat Kohli had also congratulated Team India for the victory on social media platform X. He wrote in his post, “Great victory for Team India in Ahmedabad, we are the champions. No one had any answer to the aggressive style of cricket we played in the entire tournament. The spirit that our boys showed even in difficult circumstances and became world champions again is praiseworthy. Congratulations to all the players and management members for this victory. Jai Hind.”
