On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a big gift of health security to the Anganwadi workers of Uttar Pradesh by giving them Ayushman cards. Under this scheme, he and his family will be able to get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually. Till now more than 3 lakh workers have benefited from it.

Lucknow. On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, a special program dedicated to the safety and respect of women power was organized in Uttar Pradesh. In this program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a big gift of health security to Anganwadi workers by providing them Ayushman cards.

During the program, the Chief Minister handed over Ayushman cards to five Anganwadi workers on the stage. Till now, a total of 3 lakh 684 Anganwadi workers and helpers along with their families have been given the benefit of this scheme in the state. With this, these women and their families are getting better health facilities.

Anganwadi workers got strong health protection cover

Empowering women and making them self-reliant are among the priorities of the Yogi government. In this direction, the Chief Minister presented Ayushman cards on the stage to Lucknow’s Anganwadi workers Gudiya Singh, Priyanka Singh, Sudha Awasthi, Uma Singh and Lalawati. Through this initiative, the state government has taken an important step towards providing a strong shield of health protection to Anganwadi workers and their families.

Anganwadi worker Gudiya Singh expressed happiness and said that after getting the Ayushman card, her confidence has increased further. According to him, this scheme is no less than a boon for him. Through this card, his family has got health cover of up to Rs 5 lakh for treatment. He also expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this. Under this scheme of the state government, till now about 75 percent of Anganwadi workers and assistants have been provided Ayushman cards.

Worry about treatment reduced with Ayushman card

Anganwadi workers have to face many responsibilities and challenges during their service. In such a situation, Ayushman card has become a big guarantee of treatment and health security for them. Anganwadi worker Priyanka Singh expressed happiness on getting the Ayushman card and said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has always given priority to the safety and health of the women of the state.

He said that now women can move anywhere in the state without fear. The government is also making better arrangements for treatment. There is often huge expenditure involved in the treatment of serious illness, in such a situation, getting a treatment cover of up to Rs 5 lakh is no less than a lifesaver for them.

Women empowerment got new strength

The aim of the state government is to provide health insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per year to all Anganwadi workers and helpers under the Ayushman Card Scheme. Under this scheme, Anganwadi workers and helpers along with their family members can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the listed hospitals. The state government is continuously working to implement this scheme effectively. This has provided financial security to women for the treatment of serious diseases and strengthened their access to health services.

Through this program organized on the occasion of Women’s Day, the message was also given that Anganwadi workers are not only fulfilling the responsibility of nutrition and child development, but are also playing an important role in bringing positive changes in the society.
