Electric mobility fans are celebrating the 6th World EV Day on September 9, 2025. The campaign was first created to raise awareness and promote a global shift towards electric vehicles.
In India, we are currently in the midst of a mass EV adoption, as the government is driving its target of 30 percent EV penetration by 2030. While EV adoption continues to grow in our country, the EV infrastructure and electric vehicles have seen tremendous growth over the last 6 years. Here are 5 Made-in-India Electric Cars that are setting benchmarks in the EV segment and cost under Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom.
1. Tata Tiago EV:
The Tata Tiago EV is one of the first truly accessible electric cars that was introduced to drive mass adoption. Now available in its facelifted avatar, the Tata Tiago is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 11.14 lakh ex-showroom.
