On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with women at the state level women felicitation ceremony and Pink Employment Mahakumbh-2026 organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. In the program, women from different districts shared their success stories and told about the benefits received from the government schemes.

Lucknow. “Woman, you are only Shraddha…” A scene embodying these inspiring lines of famous poet Jaishankar Prasad was seen on Sunday at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the capital Lucknow.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, state level women felicitation ceremony and ‘Pink Employment Mahakumbh-2026’ was organized here. The program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During this, the sensitive and cordial behavior of the Chief Minister was seen, which gave a positive message of women empowerment in the entire state.

Daughters from all over the state got respect

The government’s policy of providing equal opportunities to all irrespective of caste, religion and region was clearly visible in this programme. Daughters from different districts of the state received honors from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their achievements. Many daughters appeared emotional and excited after receiving the honour.

An emotional moment of the program came when Jaunpur’s ‘Drone Didi’ Durga Maurya stood up to communicate with the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Yogi respectfully requested him to sit on the chair and listened to him completely only after making him sit.

Intimate conversation with ‘Drone Didi’ Durga Maurya

During the conversation, the Chief Minister asked Durga Maurya how much she earns in a season. Durga Maurya told that with the support of the government, an income of 50 to 60 thousand rupees is earned in a season. He also told that now he has started a factory for making namkeen.

On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said smilingly,

Till now we knew that only Imarti is famous in Jaunpur, but today you told that now your Namkeen has also become famous. Whenever I come to Jaunpur, I will definitely eat your namkeen along with Imarti.

On this statement of the Chief Minister, the entire auditorium echoed with applause.

Shanvi, beneficiary of Kanya Sumangala Yojana, got the affection of CM

Another emotional moment of the program came when the Chief Minister caressed Shanvi Gupta, the little beneficiary of Kanya Sumangala Yojana, on the stage. The Chief Minister gave a white teddy bear to Shanvi and said that it had been specially brought for her. After this he lovingly lifted the girl in his lap. Seeing this scene, the entire auditorium echoed with applause and people said that the daughters of the state are in safe hands. The Chief Minister also had a personal conversation with many girls present there. He asked her what she would do with this money and how she would proceed in her studies.

Saira Banu and meritorious students received honours.

Class 9 student Saira Banu was also honored by the Chief Minister in the program. During this, the women present there said that it is a matter of good fortune for us that the state has got a Chief Minister like Yogi Adityanath. In the same sequence, the Chief Minister also encouraged the brilliant student Durga Yadav. The Chief Minister asked him about his studies. Durga told that she has done BCA. After this the Chief Minister also discussed his further plans.

Suggestions to increase income given to women engaged in flower farming

During the conversation, the Chief Minister asked Soni of Chandauli, who cultivates flowers, about her income. Soni told that he has earned about Rs 17 thousand. On this, the Chief Minister advised them that their income can be further increased by starting the business of making incense sticks and perfumes from dried flowers. Soni told that he has also taken training for this. During this time it was told that the income of Drone Didi is reaching around Rs 3000 per day.

Sita Devi of Varanasi became self-reliant by driving e-rickshaw

Sita Devi of Varanasi told the Chief Minister that she earns an income of about Rs 20 thousand per month by driving an e-rickshaw. He also said that due to his efforts, about 250 women have learned to drive e-rickshaw. On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath smilingly asked that being a woman, she was not afraid of driving an e-rickshaw. He said jokingly that now that the house is earning, the family will also be happy. Sita Devi told that now she does not feel any kind of fear and her family as well as neighbors are happy with her work.

Pramila Devi of Ghazipur got benefit of many government schemes

Pramila Devi of Ghazipur also spoke in the programme. The Chief Minister also requested him to sit and speak respectfully. Pramila Devi told that she is getting the benefits of five government schemes including Widow Pension, Kanya Sumangala Yojana. The Chief Minister said that if a woman is determined then she can become self-reliant on her own.

Chief Minister’s strict message on women’s safety

During the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also gave a clear and strict message on the issue of women’s safety. He said that today two things make me feel proud. The first is that every daughter of Uttar Pradesh now feels safe and is going to school without fear. He said that if a husband misbehaves with a daughter, the law is ready to take account of him at the next crossroads. The entire auditorium echoed with applause on this statement of the Chief Minister.

Yogi government stood like a rock with women: Anil Rajbhar

In the program, Women Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya said that it is a matter of pride for the state that the Chief Minister is continuously working for the safety and respect of women. Minister of State Pratibha Shukla saluted women power through poetry and said that women feel safe in the Yogi government.

Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar said that before 2017, women empowerment was limited to debate only, but today the mother power of the state is playing an active role in development. He said that the world should leave us, but Yogi government stands with women like a rock.

New message towards women empowerment

A short film was also shown during the programme, in which it was told how the daughters of the state have been realizing their dreams in the last nine years. The entire program resonated with the message “Woman, you are only Shraddha”. This event was not just a program of distribution of schemes, but it was a symbol of the fact that the dreams of daughters in Uttar Pradesh are now getting a safe and bright future.
