It is also not auspicious for business and economy when mother comes riding on a palanquin.
This is how the vehicle of Maa Durga is decided
The vehicle of Maa Durga is considered to be Singh i.e. lion. Mother Durga remains riding on a lion, but when Goddess Maa comes to earth during Navratri, her vehicle changes. Mother’s vehicle changes depending on the time of the day. When Navratri begins on Thursday or Friday, Mother Goddess comes to earth riding on a palanquin. This time Chaitra Navratri is starting from Thursday. That’s why Mata Rani is going to come riding on a palanquin this time.
