According to reports, on 28 February 2026, Iran’s military, especially the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), launched a coordinated attack. Ballistic missiles and Shahed-136 attack drones were used in this. The attack was carried out on the Naval Support Activity Base located in Jufair District of Manama, Bahrain, from where the US Fifth Fleet operates.

Satellite images and viral videos show thick black smoke rising from inside the base. According to reports, many military structures like radar facilities, service buildings and satellite communication systems have been heavily damaged in the attack.
