‘Will not surrender before Israel-America’, why did Iran’s President apologize? | Iran President Apologizes To Neighbors But Vows No Surrender To Israel And Us

Iranian President Pezheshkian said that the country will not surrender to US-Israel. He apologized for the attacks on neighboring countries and also made it clear that they will not be attacked again, provided Iran is not attacked from their soil.

Iranian President Masoud Pezheshkian clearly said on Saturday that his country will never surrender to Israel and America. The war that broke out in the Middle East has now entered its second week. “Iran’s enemies will take to the grave their desire for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people,” Pezeshkian said in a speech on state TV.

Israel and America attacked Iran on 28 February. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in these attacks, after which war broke out in the entire area. Since then Iran has also retaliated. It has attacked American targets in Israel and Gulf countries with missiles and drones.

Since Khamenei’s death, Iran’s functioning is being looked after by an Interim Leadership Council. Pezeshkian is one of three members of this council. During his speech, Pezeshkian also apologized to neighboring countries for Iran’s attacks in the region. He said that they would not be attacked unless Iran was attacked from their soil. “On my own behalf and on behalf of Iran, I apologize to the neighboring countries that Iran attacked,” he said.

Pezeshkian further said, “The Interim Leadership Council decided yesterday that there will be no further attacks on neighboring countries. No missiles will be fired at them, provided that there is no attack on Iran from those countries.”
