The young man who returned to his homeland from Saudi Arabia after escaping the war between Iran, Israel and America could not escape the clutches of death. Ehsan Raza, a resident of Kochadhaman in Kishanganj district of Bihar, reached home in the afternoon and his body was found on the roadside the same evening.
Initially it was believed to be a road accident, but the wife’s sin and her pregnancy exposed this entire murder mystery.
Ehsan Raza, a resident of Bhagpunas village, had gone to Saudi Arabia just three months after his marriage for the better future of his family. He worked hard there for about one and a half years and kept sending money home. When he returned home on March 5, there was an atmosphere of happiness in the family. Preparations for Iftari were going on in the evening, when his wife Shamreen Taj called him and invited him to her maternal home (Dohmohani village) for Iftari. On the invitation of his wife, Ehsaan left for his in-laws’ house on his bike, but never reached there.
Not an accident, a premeditated murder
When Ehsaan’s phone was not answered till 8 pm, his family members started searching for him. Ehsaan’s body was found under a culvert near Malhara Madrasa in Rauta police station area. Police did not find any signs of accident on the spot. Ehsaan had a deep wound on the back of his head, whereas in case of an accident, the injury should have been on the front. From here the police’s suspicion deepened and the needle of investigation turned towards murder.
Wife found 2 months pregnant, husband was abroad
When the police interrogated Ehsaan’s father Sabir Alam, he mentioned about the suspicious relations of his daughter-in-law Shamreen and her cousin Siraj Anjum. When the police took Shamreen into custody and got her medically examined, a shocking revelation came to light. Shamreen turned out to be two months pregnant, while her husband Ehsaan was abroad for the last 18 months.
Illicit relationship and creepy conspiracy
Shamreen confessed to her crime during strict police interrogation. She told that she had an illicit relationship with her cousin Siraj Anjum even before marriage. As soon as her husband went abroad, both of them came closer again. Meanwhile, Shamrin became pregnant. When she came to know that her husband was coming back, both of them were shocked.
Siraj wanted to adopt that child and Shamreen wanted to get rid of her husband. Together they conspired to remove Ehsaan from the way. As soon as Ehsaan returned home from Saudi, Shamreen called him to her in-laws’ house. Siraj, who was already ambushed on the way, murdered Ehsaan and tried to make it look like an accident by throwing the body under a culvert.
Accused lover absconds, wife reaches jail
After committing the murder, Siraj tried to mislead his wife by going to his house, but fearing that the secret would be revealed, he ran away with money and essential items. At present, the police has arrested the accused wife Shamreen Taj and sent her to jail and raids are being conducted to arrest the main accused Siraj Anjum.
