Wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh will start from March 16. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed district collectors to ensure verification of farmers, availability of gunny bags at procurement centers and timely payment. Farmers can register till March 7.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that farmers should not face any kind of problem during the wheat procurement process. District Collectors should ensure that proper verification of registered farmers is done, adequate gunny bags are available at procurement centers and farmers are paid on time. The Chief Minister gave these instructions during a virtual interaction with district collectors after the state level meeting held at the Ministry on Thursday.

Dates of wheat purchase in MP: When will the purchase take place in which division?

According to the state government, the process of wheat procurement will start on different dates in different divisions.

  • Wheat procurement will take place from March 16 to May 5 in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions.
  • Procurement will be done in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal and Sagar divisions from March 23 to May 12.

Farmers can register themselves for wheat procurement till March 7.

Instructions to provide all necessary facilities at procurement centers

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that procurement centers should be identified and established within the time limit. All necessary facilities should be available to the farmers at these centres. Also, proper training should be given to the employees engaged in procurement work and the District Procurement Committee should hold regular meetings and solve the problems quickly. The government also directed that updated information related to the procurement process should be made available to farmers in a simple manner.

Instructions to keep in touch with families in view of the situation in Gulf countries

In view of the unprecedented circumstances prevailing in the Gulf countries at present, the Chief Minister directed the District Collectors to maintain contact with the families of the students and citizens of their districts who are living in these countries. He said that to help the people of the state, a control room has been set up in the Ministry of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and Vallabh Bhawan in New Delhi. Instructions have been given to maintain constant coordination with such families even at the district level.

Sankalp Se Samadhan Campaign: Resolution of 40 lakh applications

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the final phase of the Sankalp Se Samadhan campaign is going on and under this, about 40 lakh applications have been resolved so far. Now camps will be organized at the district level till March 16. The Chief Minister directed the District Collectors to closely monitor this campaign and said that no negligence will be tolerated in this. He said that only those collectors who give better performance and results in their district will remain in the field. The same principle will apply to other officers and employees also.

Instructions to strengthen video conferencing setup in districts

The Chief Minister directed Alirajpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Balaghat and Bhopal districts to immediately complete the work related to video conferencing setup. He said that with the VC setup, communication with officials and public representatives up to the Panchayat level will be easier and development works can also be reviewed in a better way. The Chief Minister also gave necessary guidelines regarding the assembly level vision document.

Instructions to immediately refute fake and misleading information

The Chief Minister said that immediate action should be taken against incidents of spreading misleading or false information related to governance and administration. In the era of social media, it is necessary to immediately refute such news and convey correct information to the people.

Inspection of educational institutions necessary during examinations

The Chief Minister said that at present examinations are going on in schools and colleges. Therefore, district officials should conduct surprise inspections of educational institutions, hostels and university campuses so that the conduct of examinations and the upcoming session can be conducted without any hindrance. He also asked the district officials to encourage innovation.

Strictness on punctuality in offices, inspections will continue

The Chief Minister said that all officers and employees of the state are expected to adhere to office timings. He informed that recently a surprise inspection of attendance was conducted in the Ministry as per office hours.

District Collectors have also been instructed to conduct similar inspections in their districts. He said that if punctuality does not improve, then implementation of 6-day working week in the state can also be considered. The objective of the government is to establish a better and easier system for the common citizens in government offices.

2026 ‘Farmers Welfare Year’, exhibition of innovations in fairs

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2026 is being celebrated as Farmer Welfare Year in Madhya Pradesh. He directed that exhibitions of farmers and experts making innovations in agriculture and animal husbandry sector should be organized in the traditional fairs organized in the districts. Along with this, collectors have also been instructed to take necessary steps to encourage home-stay at the district level.
