Akshay Kumar Upcoming Film: After the success of horror comedy ‘Bhoot Bangla’, Akshay Kumar is now in the news for his new upcoming film. The special thing is that experts associated with Hollywood’s Mission Impossible, Alien and Predator franchises are working in this big sci-fi alien horror film of India. Real monsters and big action sequences will be seen in the film.
In the era of AI and CGI, where most films are relying on virtual visuals, Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Samuk’ seems to be adopting a completely different path. It is being counted among India’s most ambitious sci-fi alien horror films, in which big action and creature experts of Hollywood are involved. The special thing is that instead of CGI in the film, the scary alien is being created with real practical effects. Actors associated with franchises like ‘Mission Impossible’, ‘Alien’ and ‘Predator’ are part of this project.
Akshay Kumar’s new avatar in ‘Samuk’
According to the report of Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the lead role in the film ‘Samuk’. The film is being directed by Kanishk Verma, while Akshay Kumar, Vipul Amritlal Shah and Ashin Shah are jointly producing it. Interestingly, Akshay and Vipul Shah have come together for a film after almost 12 years. Hollywood stunt coordinator Luke Tumber is designing the action sequences of the film. He has previously worked in films like Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Venom, No Time to Die and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Luke Tumber praised Akshay Kumar and called him India’s real action hero and said about the film,
The project is a brilliant blend of international stunt expertise, visionary filmmaking and true action cinema. We hope this film will connect with audiences around the world through a powerful story and high-level live-action sequences.
‘Samuk’ will scare you with real monsters, not CGI
The biggest feature of the film is going to be its alien monster. It is being designed by Hollywood’s famous creature-effects expert Alec Gillis. Alec Gillis has previously been associated with films like Alien: Romulus, Predator, Smile 2 and Tremors. They say,
I and Kanishk Verma together are creating a completely unique alien horror character. In the age of CGI and AI, it’s good to see that people still love original hand-drawn monsters.
Alec Gillis praised Akshay Kumar and said,
Akshay Kumar has the physical energy like Jason Statham and likeability like Tom Cruise. My aim is to create such an alien villain in ‘Samuk’ whose screen presence is equal to that of Akshay Kumar. It will not be easy to defeat him.
Akshay Kumar himself made a big revelation on the film
While talking to HT City, Akshay Kumar confirmed working in the film and said,
Yes, I have signed this film. I found the script and subject of ‘Samuk’ very interesting. Sci-fi alien horror is a completely new genre for me and for our films. I am very excited about it.
Why is ‘Samuk’ considered special?
Samuk is being considered among the few Indian films which are trying to present sci-fi alien horror on a large scale at the international level. While most films focus on CGI, ‘Samuk’ is set to give a new cinematic experience through real practical effects and live action.
