Medical device park and electronics manufacturing cluster to promote high-value manufacturing

Many big projects are being developed to promote high value industries in the Yamuna Expressway area. Medical Device Park has been developed on approximately 350 acres in Sector-28. Its objective is to promote manufacturing of medical devices and reduce the dependence of this sector in the country.

Similarly, Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) has been established in an area of 200 acres in Sector-24. This cluster will provide an organized industrial environment to the companies involved in the electronics industry, which will boost production capacity and technological development.

Labour-based industries have also been given important place in the strategy of industrial development. Toy City is being developed in about 100 acres in Sector-33, the objective of which is to provide a systematic and organized industrial platform to the toy industry.

Apart from this, 175 acres apparel park is being developed in Sector-29. This park will provide production, design and distribution facilities to companies involved in the textile and apparel industry at one place. These projects have been planned in such a way that the entire supply chain from raw materials to finished products can be developed in a single corridor.

Film City: New center of media and digital content industry

The proposed Film City in an area of about 1000 acres in Sector-21 of Yamuna Expressway is not being seen merely as an entertainment project. The government plans to develop it as a major hub of media, film production, content creation, post-production and digital services. This will provide modern facilities to the companies associated with the film and media industry and will also create new employment opportunities in the area.

Fintech City: Digital financial services expand with industrial growth

The proposed Fintech City in about 500 acres in Sector-11, parallel to the Film City, will try to connect the industrial and service sectors with digital financial services. The project aims to provide industries with an integrated platform for digital payments, investment management and international financial transactions. This will also facilitate industries to do business globally.

Japanese, Korean and Singapore cities will develop with foreign partnership

Industrial cities based on foreign partnerships have also been planned to attract international investment in the Yamuna Expressway area.

  • Japanese City in 500 acres in Sector-5A

These projects will also lead to rapid expansion of land use, residential townships, skill development institutions and supporting services.
