Bengaluru: The investigation of a case has become a bigger tension than the Rs 7 crore kept in the police station. This money is kept in Siddapur Police Station and the police has to work day and night to protect it. The case dates back to November last year, when Rs 7 crore was looted from the van used to fill cash in ATM in broad daylight. In this case, a total of 7 people including former employee of CMS company Xavier, Govindpura police station constable Annappa Naik and 5 other employees of CMS were arrested. The police had also recovered the entire Rs 7 crore from the accused.

Money has been kept in the police station for 4 months

This huge amount has been kept in the police station for the last 4 months. Policemen are guarding the eagle by keeping an eye on it. Especially, the staff going out on night beats have to remain very alert.

Rumor of doors being locked at night

There were also reports that due to the presence of such a huge amount of money in the police station, the doors of the station are closed for a few hours at night. However, officials have termed these allegations as false. He says that any person coming to the police station at night is thoroughly investigated. Only those who lodge complaints are allowed inside.

Police said- ‘Safety of money is our responsibility’

Police officials said, “There are many things and cash seized related to the case in the police station. It is our responsibility to keep them safe until the order comes from the court. Similarly, the money seized in the robbery case has also been kept in full security. We do not have any tension due to such a huge amount. As soon as the court order comes, this money will be handed over to the concerned people.”
