A shocking incident has happened in Bantaram mandal of Vikarabad district of Telangana. A young girl allegedly killed her parents by injecting them with poison. The reason for the murder was that they were opposing her insistence on love marriage.
According to the police, the accused Nakkala Surekha was in a relationship with a young man for some time and wanted to marry her partner. However, her parents were strongly against this relationship, which led to frequent fights at home. Neighbors said that fights in the family were common and tension had been rising for several months.
Planned to kill parents
Investigators said that in anger and despair, Surekha allegedly planned to kill her parents. He is accused of secretly giving poison injections to both of them at home. Soon after, the parents fell seriously ill and collapsed. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Later the medical report confirmed the presence of poisonous substances in his body, which raised suspicion. The police started investigation and interrogated family members and neighbours. During interrogation, Surekha reportedly confessed to her crime.
Did anyone help him?
SDPO N. Srinivas Reddy said, “The accused was upset with the opposition to her parents’ relationship. In anger, she took this dangerous step. We are investigating how she got the poison and the syringe.” Police have registered a case of double murder under relevant sections of BNS. Surekha was arrested and produced before a magistrate and sent to judicial custody.
Further investigation is underway to find out whether someone helped him or someone else was already aware of the plan. Police are also investigating Surekha phone records and contacts.
