Rohit-Virat Record: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two greatest warriors in the history of Indian cricket, have achieved such a feat in international cricket that every cricket fan will feel proud. Even though Team India had to face defeat in the second ODI match played against England at Sophia Gardens ground in Cardiff, but during this match, the pair of Rohit and Virat immortalized their names forever in the pages of history.
Only the third pair in 94 years of history
During batting in this match, there was a partnership of 60 runs between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. On the basis of this small but historic partnership, this pair achieved a position which only two pairs could achieve till now in the 94 year long history of Indian cricket. Rohit and Virat now have a total partnership of 8028 runs in international cricket, and they have become the third elite pair of India to cross this magical figure.
India played its first international cricket match in the year 1932. Since then, this is only the third time in the last 94 years that an Indian pair has achieved the distinction of adding 8,000 or more runs as a partnership in international cricket.
