The iPhone 17e is now available for pre-order in India, which made its debut earlier this week. The handset succeeds last year’s iPhone 16e, which marked Apple’s departure from the ‘iPhone SE’ branding.
While the iPhone 17e brings the same design language, it introduces a powerful chipset and a few upgrades. However, the updated hardware comes at a price – the device is now Rs 5,000 more expensive than the iPhone 16e at launch. So, let’s check the pricing, bank offers, and pre-order details.
iPhone 17e Available for Pre-order in India
The iPhone 17e is now up for pre-order on Flipkart and the company’s official website in India, with sales set for March 11. As far as the price is concerned, the iPhone 17e starts in India at Rs 64,900 for the base 256GB model, while the 512GB model is priced at Rs 84,900.
Customers can avail of a Rs 4,000 instant discount on ICICI Bank credit card EMI transactions on Flipkart, bringing the price down to Rs 60,900. Moreover, the iPhone 17e comes in Black, Soft Pink, and White colour options.
iPhone 17e Specifications
The iPhone 17e sports the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display but features Ceramic Shield 2, claiming to offer 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation and reduced glare. The phone also supports up to 1200 nits peak HDR brightness and carries an IP68 rating like the previous generation.
The iPhone 17e is powered by the latest A19 chip, the same one that runs the iPhone 17 and the 17 Plus. The phone features C1X, the latest-generation cellular modem, is up to 2x faster than C1 in iPhone 16e.
Running iOS 26, it comes with Apple Intelligence features. It now supports MagSafe, along with Qi2 wireless charging, delivering speeds of up to 15W – double the 7.5W Qi charging on the iPhone 16e. The phone also supports 20W wired charging, reaching 50% battery in around 30 minutes.
For imaging, there is a 48MP Fusion camera that enables an optical-quality 2x telephoto, giving users two cameras in one. It is claimed to take sharp photos at up to 48MP resolution or capture in the 24MP default. The phone is also capable of recording 4K video with Dolby Vision up to 60 fps. Other features include a 12MP selfie camera, an action button, Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite.
