New Delhi: For a third successive time, India and England are all geared up to lock horns in the T20 World Cup semi-final at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, March 5. They earlier played in the World Cup semis in the 2024 and 2022 edition.
The T20 spectacle is now compressed to just three game and all of them, being knockouts. South Africa and New Zealand will lock horns in the first semifinal on Wednesday in Kolkata and one of teams proceeds to the final to meet the winner of the India-England clash on Sunday.
In the 2022 edition semis, India suffered a big defeat against the English side while in 2024, they bounced back with a big win. In this edition, it remains to be seen that which team will make its way to the summit clash of the global ICC event. While both the sides have had fairly decent campaigns this World Cup but England have been flawless in the Super Eight stage three wins in a row to reach to the semis.
