A groom was arrested with MDMA drugs right after his Nikah in Tirur, Kerala. The accused had hidden 1.55 grams of drugs in his car and the bathroom of the bride’s house. The police have arrested him and sent him on remand.
Malappuram: A surprising case has come to light in Tirur, Kerala. Here a groom, who reached his bride’s house right after the marriage, has been arrested with MDMA drugs. The groom had hidden the drugs in the bathroom of the room decorated for the wedding night.
Police have arrested 26-year-old Mohammad Shiban, who is a resident of Tavanur. According to the information, the police first stopped Shiban and searched his car in Pottilathara area of Tirur. During this time some quantity of MDMA was recovered from his car.
When strictly interrogated by the police, Shiban confessed that he had hidden the remaining drugs in his wife’s house. After this the police team reached the bride’s house. There the bathroom attached to the groom’s room on the upper floor was searched, from where the rest of the MDMA was also found. The police caught the groom in front of the bride.
Police said that a total of 1.55 grams of MDMA was seized from the car and the bride’s house. During interrogation, Shiban told that he had brought these drugs to sell and use himself. The accused works as a therapist in a private hospital. The police presented him in the court, from where he has been sent on remand.
