Rohit Sharma’s international career may also end in the last match of the ODI series between India and England. Team India’s former captain and star opener Rohit Sharma can be seen playing the last match of his international career with the third ODI match to be held at Lord’s on July 19. According to a report, the BCCI selection committee has made it clear to Rohit that he is not a part of their plans for the World Cup 2027 and this series will be his last.
The second ODI was being played between India and England in Cardiff on Thursday 16 July, in which Team India came out to bat first. In this match, eyes were on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who had failed in the first match. At the Sophia Gardens ground, Kohli batted strongly and scored a good half-century but Rohit could not leave any impact in his innings of 47 balls. Like the first match, this time too he was seen struggling throughout his innings and ultimately got out after scoring only 26 runs.
Only after this innings, questions started being raised on Rohit’s career and within some time a report also claimed that Rohit’s career did not last much longer. A report in Indian Express has claimed that this series will be the last stop of Rohit’s international career. The match to be played at the historic Lord’s Stadium on Sunday, July 19 could be the last match not only of this series but also of Rohit’s international career.
