New Spacious Toyota Innova Rival Coming To India

When it comes to spacious, comfortable seven-seaters, the Innova aces the game. However, its popularity will soon be challenged by a new seven-seater – which is longer than the Innova. This eventually means more cabin space, even for the third row. Here’s everything that we know about this upcoming spacious seven-seater.

JSW MG Motors is planning to bring a new spacious 7-seater that will likely rival the Toyota Innova. This new model is expected to be a rebadged version of the Wuling Darion, which is available in international markets. This model is 4.9 m long – nearly 200 mm longer than the Innova.

Talking about the interiors, the upcoming Darion-based seven-seater is expected to boast several features like a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch driver’s display, wireless charging, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, powered and ventilated front and second-row seats, and more. So, in terms of features, there won’t be any major compromise.

Another key highlight of the model is the sliding rear door, which is currently gaining popularity among buyers.

The Darion will be MG’s new-age product, which means it will come with a PHEV (plug-in hybrid) or EV (electric) powertrain. The PHEV will get a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine paired with a 20.5 kWh battery pack. The electric version of the model will be equipped with a 69.2 kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of 520 kms.
