MP is the first state in the country to formulate electric vehicle policy. EV is moving towards becoming the state EV hub from the Board of Promotion Board, Tax Rebate, Charging Station and Skill Development.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is now ready to represent the future of electric vehicles. Madhya Pradesh has also done the work of formulating electric vehicle policy in the country.

He informed that it is a big priority of the state to deal with climate change and meet the goals of electric vehicle manufacturing under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s message on World EV Day

On World EV Day, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav appealed to the people that everyone should participate in reducing carbon emissions and adopting clean energy. He said that electric vehicles are the most effective solutions to reduce pollution through public cooperation.

Electric vehicle enrichment board will be formed

Electric vehicle enrichment board will soon be formed in the state. This board will work to keep pace between different departments and solve problems. The government aims to make Madhya Pradesh an ideal state in clean energy use and set an example in this region.

Many incentives have been given in Madhya Pradesh’s electric vehicle policy:

  • Road tax and registration fee exemption
  • Financial incentive on buying EV

EV and skill development courses will start

EV related courses will be launched in Engineering College and ITI to prepare the necessary skills for the electric vehicle industry. Apart from this, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain will be developed as EV Model City.

Cooperation in zero emission target

India aims to achieve net-geo emissions by 2070. Madhya Pradesh is trying to become the leading state of the country in this direction.

The main target of electric vehicle policy-2025

According to the Urban Development and Housing Department till the year 2030:

  • 40% electric in 2-2 vehicles
  • 80% electric in 3-wheelers
  • 15% electric in 4-wheelers
  • 40% electric in buses

Charging stations and financial incentives

Several provisions have been made to promote electric vehicles:

  • Help of up to Rs 10 lakh on setting up small, medium and large charging stations
  • Assistance up to Rs 2 crore for research, innovation and skill development
  • Up to Rs 5 lakh for battery swapping station
  • Incentive of up to 25 thousand rupees on 2-whee, 3-whee and car retrofitting

EV Workshop and Auto Expo

EV workshop Vidyut 25 and Electric Auto Expo is being organized at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal on the occasion of World EV Day on 9 September. This program is to increase awareness.

Madhya Pradesh is going to be EV Manufacturing Hub

Madhya Pradesh is fully prepared to promote the electric vehicle industry. There are possibilities of developing battery manufacturing facilities, assembly plants and supply chain networks. There are already good industrial environment and collaborative structures in the state.
