Actress Sandeepa Virk, who has done hit films in South films like ‘Shikar’ with Mohanlal and ‘Mankatha’ with Ajit Kumar, went through a very difficult phase some time ago. He was arrested by ED in a fraud case of Rs 6 crore, after which he had to spend four months in Tihar jail. Recently he got bail from Delhi High Court. Now in an interview, Sandeepa has shared the painful experience of those days spent in jail, which can give goosebumps to anyone.
Sandeepa told that while living in Tihar Jail, she used to pray to God that she should die. He described that moment as the most painful when his parents came to meet him in jail. Sandeepa said that she apologized to her parents that because of them she had to come there.
Sandeepa further said, “I would only pray that my enemy also does not have to go to Tihar Jail. The conditions of the jail were very bad. We had to sleep only on the floor. The bathrooms were very dirty and the food was such that it was impossible to eat it. Some policemen behaved well, while there were some who took out all their anger on the prisoners. Jail life completely broke me mentally and physically. I lived with 500 people. My health had deteriorated so much that there came a time when I could not even stand without someone’s support. Even today, when I think about those days, I cry.” Sandeepa said these things during an interview with Simran Jot.
