Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, wife of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has passed away. According to Iran’s government media, she was injured in the attacks by America and Israel two days ago.
He died during treatment. Khamenei and many members of his family were also killed in these attacks. Mansoureh married Khamenei in 1964. She always stayed away from public life and was rarely seen in any government program.
America and Israel have not separately confirmed the death of the remaining members of Khamenei’s family. But Iran’s state media continues to say that many of his family members were killed in the attacks. Iran has declared 40 days of national mourning after Khamenei’s death. Khamenei was Iran’s most prominent political and religious leader since 1989.
Khamenei’s daughter and son-in-law have also been killed
Khamenei’s compound was attacked with 30 missiles, in which 40 commanders including his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and granddaughter were killed. Khamenei’s wife’s name was Mansoura Khojasteh’s father Mohammad Ismail Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, a well-known businessman of Mashhad. His brother Hassan has been the deputy director of Iran’s state TV and radio network Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

Khamenei and his wife have six children. Four sons and two daughters. The names of the sons are Mostafa, Mojtaba, Masood and Maysam. Daughters’ names are Boshra and Hoda. The eldest son Mostafa is a religious leader. He married the daughter of Iranian philosopher Azizullah Khoshvat and also took part in the Iran-Iraq War. Masood married the daughter of Iranian leader Mohsin Kharaji. Masood does not hold any government or non-government post. Khamenei’s family has many grandchildren. However, the name of only one grandson has been revealed publicly, whose name is Mohammad Bagher Khamenei.
Khamenei’s siblings
Khamenei had three brothers, including Mohammad Khamenei and Hadi Khamenei. One of his four sisters, Badri Khamenei, left Iran and went abroad in the 1980s. According to reports, some of Khamenei’s nephews and grandsons live abroad, some of whom are reported to live in Paris. Khamenei’s sons and daughters live together in Iran.
