CM Yogi Adityanath sent relief material from Saharanpur to 48 trucks for flood victims of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Punjab. The UP government also gave additional assistance of 5-5 crores to Uttarakhand and Himachal.

Saharanpur, 08 September. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday flagged off 48 trucks filled with relief materials from Saharanpur to the flood affected people of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The event took place at Sarovar Portico on Ambala Road. On this occasion, CM Yogi said- relief material is an important link of human sensation. In this difficult time, 25 crore people of UP are with brothers and sisters of these three states. The Chief Minister also informed that additional assistance of Rs 5-5 crore has been given to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh from Uttar Pradesh government.

CM Yogi said that today relief material is being sent by the people of Uttar Pradesh for the citizens of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Punjab. Referring to the vision of an India, excellent India under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the country is developing rapidly and the ability to deal with disasters is also getting stronger. He said that institutions like NDRF, Disaster Friends and Local Police continue to play an active role in relief work. CM Yogi said that when society and voluntary organizations stand with the government, relief work is stronger.

UP has made strong arrangements to protect against flood

CM Yogi said that floods in Uttar Pradesh have always been a big challenge. So far this year, the state has survived a serious condition like floods, although waterlogging has occurred in some areas. He informed that due to the provisions and arrangements made on time, a large control over floods has been found. He referred to the arrangements made in the Yamuna River area (from Saharanpur, Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar to Prayagraj), on the banks of the Ganges from Bijnor to Ballia and in the areas of Saryu, Ghaghra, Ramganga and Hindon river. If there was loss of public money due to water overflow, then the government has given immediate relief material.

Compensation and help to flood affected families

CM Yogi said that if a person dies due to wild animal, snake or scorpion bite during the rainy season, then the family is given a compensation of four lakh rupees. If a poor house has fallen, then financial assistance is provided to build a new house. If the land or house was swept away in the river or falls into the cutting, then the family is given the land lease and the construction amount. In the villages where there was floods, the victims were transported to safe camps and arranged breakfast, lunch, milk for children and fodder for animals.

Additional assistance to Uttarakhand and Himachal

CM Yogi said that the material given to the flood victims in Uttar Pradesh has been sent to Uttarakhand, Himachal and Punjab through 48 trucks today. He said that there has been great devastation in Uttarakhand and Himachal due to cloudburst and overflow. Therefore, assistance of five crore rupees is being given to both the states on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government and the public.

UP government ministers and MLAs will take assistance

CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh government minister Kunwar Brijesh Singh will go to Uttarakhand and Minister Jaswant Saini will reach Himachal Pradesh with relief material and funds. Saharanpur MLA Rajiv Gumbar will take relief material for Punjab. He said that these representatives will go there and send the feelings and sensations of the people of UP. CM said that if more help will be needed, then the Uttar Pradesh government and the people here are ready to cooperate in every way.

Caution is the biggest rescue- CM Yogi

CM Yogi appealed to the public to be cautious during the disaster. He said that diseases like diarrhea can occur when too much water comes, so drink water. Do not allow water to accumulate around the house so that diseases like dengue and malaria do not spread. Take care of cleaning and spraying. If a snake or poisonous worm is cut, go to the doctor immediately. Vaccine is available in every CHC and district hospital. If a dog or wild animal bites, then you must get anti-rebij vaccine. He said that rescue is the biggest solution.

CM Yogi talks with journalists

Addressing the journalists, CM Yogi said that in the past, there have been incidents of excess rainfall, lightning and cloudburst in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, which have spoiled the situation there. The central and state governments are continuously doing relief work. NDRF, SDRF and Flood Unit, local organizations and voluntary organizations are active. He said that life is already difficult in hilly states and disaster affects the life there. At such a time it is the duty of the rest of the country to come forward to help. With the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi, UP has achieved great success in flood management and now other states are also being given all possible help.

What is in relief material

Relief materials include flour, rice, pigeonpea, potato, mustard oil, salt, turmeric, chilli, spices, roasted gram, gram, lai, sugar, biscuits, bath and laundry soap, detol, sanitary pads, towel, cotton cloth, bucket, mug, tlicity, candle, matches and dispensal bags. Each packet has been given 10 kg, rice 10 kg, pigeonic dal 2 kg, potato 10 kg, mustard oil 1 kg, salt 1 kg, sugar 1 kg, roasted gram 2 kg, gram 2 kg, lai 2.5 kg, 10 packets of biscuits, soap, matches, candles and other items. The purpose of this is that in the hour of crisis, the victims can help in living easily.

State BJP President and Legislative Council Member Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Minister of State Jaswant Singh Saini, Minister Kunwar Brijesh Singh, MLA Kirat Singh, Devendra Nim, Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar, Rajeev Gumbar, Mukesh Chaudhary and many public representatives and officials were present on the occasion.
