In view of this year’s Holi, Railways has made a big technical plan. The help of AI is being taken from the sale of tickets to the operation of trains. AI is also doing the work of crowd management. Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay told in a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsha that our effort is to control the crowd by using Artificial Intelligence and a lot is being done for this. He said that keeping in view the crowd situation through AI, the decision to operate special trains is being taken in just half an hour.
Himanshu Shekhar told that a holding area has been made at New Delhi Railway Station. Big cameras have been installed in this area. The specialty of these cameras is to count all the unreserved passengers arriving. Along with this, every kind of activity is captured in this camera. Based on the input received from the camera, AI decides how much crowd is increasing at a particular hour and planning is done accordingly.
Trains are decided by ticket sales
A separate holding area has been created for unreserved passengers. On the basis of ticket sales taking place here, it is being decided how many trains will be operated for which area. The help of Artificial Intelligence is being taken in this regard. The trains on the route in which more unreserved tickets are being sold are being operated on a higher priority basis. Mahesh, special trains are being prepared based on the sale of tickets in 15 to 20 minutes.
separate gates for passengers
Trains operate on different routes at New Delhi Railway Station. For this, separate gates have been made for passengers. For example, a special area has been created for unreserved passengers while a separate gate has been made for reserved passengers. Volunteers have been deployed at all the gates so that ticket checking can be done at the same time and there is no crowd at any particular gate.
