Kejriwal Challenges: The politics of the capital has intensified after the acquittal of 23 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia by Rouse Avenue Court in the Delhi Excise Policy case.
In the press conference held after getting relief from the court, Arvind Kejriwal made serious allegations against BJP and openly challenged that if re-elections are held in Delhi and BJP wins even 10 seats, he will leave politics.
Kejriwal said that for the last four years, attempts were made to defame the Aam Aadmi Party through ED and CBI, but the court made it clear that there was no concrete evidence or credible witnesses to prosecute the case. He said that the court’s decision proves the allegations leveled against him to be completely false and baseless.
“If BJP wins 10 seats, I will leave politics”
In the press conference, Kejriwal said, “BJP should once again hold elections in Delhi. If it wins even 10 seats, I will quit politics.” He alleged that this entire matter was prepared as part of a well-planned political conspiracy with the intention of destroying the Aam Aadmi Party.
Impact on family and party
Kejriwal said that this entire episode had an impact on his family as well and Manish Sisodia’s wife continued to struggle with the serious disease multiple sclerosis, while he had to stay in jail for a long time. He said that despite the difficult times, the party remained united and attempts to break it failed.
Expressed gratitude to the court and lawyers
He thanked the judge who pronounced the verdict and the lawyers who argued the case, saying that for four years he was implicated in a “false case” and subjected to political persecution. Now, due to the court’s order, a big burden on his mind has been relieved.
After this statement, there are signs of allegations and counter-allegations becoming more intense in Delhi politics and this issue can become a major topic of debate in the upcoming election environment.
