The game against Karnataka ended as a draw, and J&K were declared the winners based on the first innings lead. It was a remarkable turnaround for a team that was not taken seriously for most of their 66-year-old tournament history, but the team proved that their time has come now. This final was their 346th match in Ranji history, and only their 47th match win. Throughout the season, Jammu and Kashmir lost just one match, which came in Srinagar against Mumbai.
