- To remove cough, you have to mix turmeric, salt and black pepper in honey. Honey can help in removing mucus from the chest. Anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties are found in honey.
- It loosens and expels thick mucus, reduces swelling in the throat and also relieves sore throat. This also removes infection.
- Turmeric contains curcumin. It is a powerful anti-oxidant, which strengthens immunity, relieves sore throat and helps fight infections. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Its consumption relieves swelling of the respiratory tract and mucus comes out easily.
- At the same time, salt cleans the dirt and bacteria accumulated in the throat. It also works to thin the thick mucus and expel it. Black pepper, along with turmeric and honey, acts as a powerful remedy to remove phlegm.

- Take 1 spoon honey.
- Add quarter teaspoon turmeric in it.
