After the death of his father, Rinku immediately reached his home in Aligarh from Chennai, where his last rites took place on Friday evening. There was a huge crowd of Rinku’s father’s family, neighbors, friends and fans of the star cricketer during his last journey. During this time, Rinku shouldered her father’s bier.

since last few weeks Rinku’s father Khanchand Singh Was undergoing treatment at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida. He was suffering from the fourth stage of liver cancer. During this time, Rinku had also reached Greater Noida to meet his father after the T20 World Cup match against South Africa. But then he joined the team again a day before the match against Zimbabwe. However, Rinku did not get a chance to play in this match but he was seen fielding.

Last rites took place in Aligarh

But the very next morning the news of his father’s demise came, which broke the Indian cricketer. After this, Rinku immediately left Team India in Chennai and returned to his home in Aligarh. During this time, his father’s mortal remains reached Aligarh from Greater Noida. Rinku was seen shouldering his father’s dead body while being taken for the last rites. Along with him, many people also became a part of the last journey of Khanchand Singh and completed his last rites.

Virat-BCCI expressed grief

This news also saddened the entire Indian cricket fraternity. Former Team India captain and star batsman Virat Kohli also condoled the demise of Rinku’s father and consoled his fellow cricketer. Virat wrote in a post on his social media account, “I am deeply saddened by the news of Rinku’s father’s demise. My heartfelt prayers and condolences are with you and your family on this difficult occasion. May his blessings always give you strength. Om Shanti.”

Calling it a heart-breaking news, former star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh expressed his condolences to Rinku and said that he stands with her and her family at such a difficult time. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla also expressed condolences on behalf of the board on the demise of Rinku’s father.
