CM Vishnu Dev Sai launched the City Gas Infrastructure Project in Raipur. Now through DPNG, homes and commercial establishments will get pipeline gas and CNG stations will expand. This will reduce pollution and promote clean energy.

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today launched the City Gas Infrastructure Project at a private hotel in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he flagged off vehicles running on CNG. Also talked to Mrs. Poonam Choubey, the first pipeline gas consumer of Raipur Municipal Corporation, and got information about the facility of pipeline gas (DPNG) for domestic use.

New achievement of development in Chhattisgarh silver jubilee year

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is celebrating its silver jubilee year by completing 25 years of its formation. In these 25 years, the state has established many new dimensions of development. The City Gas Infrastructure Project is an important achievement in this development journey. This initiative is not just a new facility, but a strong resolve of the state towards clean energy, environment protection and modern infrastructure.

Door-to-door pipeline gas facility from DPNG (Domestic Piped Natural Gas)

The Chief Minister said that now like in metro cities, gas will be provided through pipeline to homes and commercial establishments through DPNG. This will relieve consumers from the hassle of cylinder refill and will also increase safety. Industries will also benefit from availability of cheap and accessible energy and new investment opportunities will be created.

CNG station network expansion: reduction in pollution and relief in fuel expenses.

Congratulating HCG Group, the Chief Minister expressed hope that a wide network of CNG stations would soon be developed in Raipur, Balodabazar and Gariaband districts. He said that use of CNG in vehicles will reduce pollution and common citizens will also get relief in fuel expenses.

Emphasis on infrastructure and green energy in the state budget

The Chief Minister said that important provisions have been made for infrastructure development in the recently presented state budget. The government aims to provide world class facilities from cities to rural areas. Green energy is being given priority to provide facilities like metro cities to the people of the state. He appealed to the citizens to participate in environmental protection by adopting clean fuel and cooperate in building a green, developed and self-reliant Chhattisgarh.

Project started in Raipur, Balodabazar and Gariaband

It is noteworthy that City Gas Infrastructure Project has been started in Raipur, Balodabazar and Gariaband districts. Under this, PNG will be supplied through pipeline for domestic and commercial use and CNG will also be available for vehicles. HCG Group Managing Director Mr. Rahul Chopra, Director Mr. Rajiv Mathur, Chairman Mr. Deepak Sawant, Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, representatives of GAIL India and many people from the industry were present in the program.
