Govind Dwadashi fasting and worship method
– On 28th February, Saturday, wake up early in the morning and after taking bath etc., take a pledge to fast and worship with water, rice and flowers in your hand.
– Start worshiping Lord Govind in the auspicious time mentioned above. First of all, light a lamp of pure ghee in front of the picture of God.
– Make God wear a garland of flowers and apply tilak with kumkum. After this, also offer things like rice, roli, abeer, gulal, sacred thread etc.
– While worshiping, continuously chant Govindaya Namstubhyam Mantra. Offer bhog as per your wish and perform aarti.
– After the puja, mix ghee in sesame seeds and perform Havan with one hundred and eight offerings. Follow the rules of fasting throughout the day. Don’t sleep at night, do bhajan-kirtan.
– Next day i.e. on March 1, Sunday morning, while donating food, clothes and grains etc. to the Brahmins, chant this mantra –
Namo Govind Sarvesh Gopikajanvallabh.
May you be blessed with blessings and love of the world.
Meaning- O Govind, O Guru of the entire living world! May you be pleased with this donation of grains made by me.
– In this way, by observing the fast of Govind Dwadashi as per the rituals, a person becomes free from all sins and also gets relief from troubles.
