Chennai: The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain in parts of South Tamil Nadu over the coming days, with light fog expected in northern coastal areas and Tiruvannamalai district today.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the department, moderate rain is likely at one or two places in the coastal districts of South Tamil Nadu, the Western Ghats districts, and adjacent districts on February 27.
Light rain may occur at one or two places in the Western Ghats districts on February 28 and March 1. On March 2, light rain is expected in the coastal districts of South Tamil Nadu. The Delta districts are likely to receive light rain at one or two places on March 3, followed by similar conditions in the coastal districts of South Tamil Nadu on March 4.
The Meteorological Department has also reported that light fog will be observed at one or two places in the coastal areas of North Tamil Nadu and Tiruvannamalai district today.

For Chennai and its suburbs, the sky will be partly cloudy with light fog expected at one or two places during the early morning hours. No significant rainfall has been predicted for the city in the immediate forecast. The intermittent rain and fog conditions likely to continue through early March.
