New Delhi: Big relief for numerous investors who had invested money in Sahara India. The central government has released important update which states that the claim and re-submission limit has been hiked from Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 lakh. The refund can be claimed by visiting the Sahara Refund Portal (CRCS) and submit the necessary details. The decision comes as a boon for people whose money has been stuck in Sahara schemes for years.

Resubmitted claims shall be processed within 45 working days,” the notification on the Sahara Refund Portal reads.
The refund portal has been been created for four cooperative societies of the Sahara Group. These include Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.
How to apply on CRCS-Sahara refund portal
The government has also made a new Resubmission Portal live. The investors whose documents were missing or not complete, or payment had failed failures can now visit the portal, correct their mistakes, and resubmit their claims. This re-submission process will also apply with the limit of up to Rs 10 lakh.
The application process is free of cost. The applicants are mandated to upload the mobile number linked with Aadhaar, bank account details, and all necessary documents related to the deposit.
After the online claim is submitted, the application will be verified within 30 days. Within a total of 45 days, the depositor will be informed via SMS or through the portal. If no discrepancy is found in the applications, the amount will be transferred directly to the depositor’s bank account.
