BTS Jungkook created controversy with his latest live streaming on Weverse. At approximately 4 AM KST on February 26, he was seen doing karaoking with his older brother and a friend whilst interacting with followers for over an hour.
He touched upon on a variety of subjects despite possible repercussions, which he brought up a few times. The topic of BTS Jungkook pursuing his own goals without worrying about what would be deemed ‘outside’ of the ‘idol image’ dominated the entire LIVE.
BTS Jungkook freely spoke about his opinions and acted freely, yelling and cursing his friend while acknowledging that he was ‘drunk’. He shocked ARMYs by revealing his smoking habit on a live stream, revealing details about his life and personal choices. He questioned why it was so problematic for him to talked about his smoking habits as an adult.

BTS Jungkook said, “I don’t smoke now, but still… why can’t I talk about this? I’m almost 30 now. I did smoke before, like a lot, but I worked hard to quit and did so.”
BTS Jungkook’s decisions about his life was supported by the ARMYs on social media, who also hailed him for being honest enough to discuss about his smoking habits even though he was aware that his company would disagree. A user wrote, “You have no idea how happy I’m of Jungkook! He boldly talked about everything he wanted! He’s a human after all! Above all, I’m super proud of him for quitting smoking! I heard that the process is hard & exhausting that people keep going back to it. Jungkook you’re doing amazing.”

Meanwhile, ARIRANG, BTS’s fifth full-length album featuring 14 tracks, will be released on March 20th, marking their comeback. The next day, March 21, at 8 PM, they will host BTS Comeback Live: Arirang (BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG) at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square.
