NIA conducts multiple raids across five states, Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi: The National Agency (NIA) carried out a series of raids on Monday morning across 20 locations in five states and in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including the districts of Baramulla, Kulgam and others.

In Jammu and Kashmir, NIA teams raided a house belonging to Umer Rashid Lone in Zangam village of Pattan town, district Baramulla, early Monday. According to reports, the operation is focused on gathering evidence connected to a broader investigation. Details of the seizure and arrests are however, yet to be disclosed.

Movement in the area was briefly restricted during the operation. The situation returned back to normal once the operations were conducted, according to a report by The Kashmir Patriot.

Meanwhile, gunfire was reported during another search operation in the Guddar area of Kulgam.
