New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome at Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, on Wednesday, where lawmakers gave him two standing ovations and raised chants of “Modi, Modi”.
Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset. He was also the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. This marks his second visit to the country.
Earlier in the day, he was received at the airport by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife.
