Israeli opposition leader welcomed PM Modi

Earlier there were reports that Israel’s opposition may boycott PM Modi’s speech due to differences with Benjamin Netanyahu. But now, opposition leader Yair Lapid has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Lapid wrote on X that the whole of Israel is eager to welcome PM Modi.

Lapid said Modi is a true friend of Israel and the two countries have a deep friendship. Earlier, Lapid had said that he might have to boycott PM Modi’s speech. This difference of opinion was because Benjamin Netanyahu had not invited the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to listen to the speech.
