Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released ‘Aarti Bhog Prasad’ at the Gramin Dak Sevak Conference in Ujjain. Prasad of Mahakal and Omkareshwar temple will now reach every home through postal service. More than 16,800 Gramin Dak Sevaks are active in the state.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the Gramin Dak Sevak Conference organized at Kartik Mela Ground in Ujjain. On this occasion, he released ‘Aarti Bhog Prasad’ and honored the Gramin Dak Sevaks from across the state and appreciated their contribution. Many public representatives including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were present in the program. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister and the Union Minister launched a new postal service through the Indian Postal Department to deliver the Prasad of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple located in Ujjain to the common people. Apart from this, pictorial post cards based on famous places of Ujjain were also released.
Changing role and new initiatives of Indian postal system
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Indian Postal System has always played an important role in the interest of the citizens. The postal system, which started during the British period, has taken a modern form with time. Many important changes have taken place in the Postal Department under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The department which earlier was limited to only delivering letters, is now also providing new services like delivering Baba Mahakal’s Prasad to every home. People are getting insurance schemes, savings schemes and banking facilities through post offices. From opening accounts to speed post and other services, people are being provided faster and better facilities.
Gramin Dak Sevak: Strong foundation of rural economy
The Chief Minister said that Gramin Dak Sevaks are the strong foundation of the rural economy of the country. They work with dedication like our soldiers and provide services to every village. He said that with the changing times, post offices are becoming increasingly modern and technically capable. The postal department is being made completely computerized and digital, so that the common people can get better services. The Chief Minister congratulated the Postal Department for working hard day and night to serve the public. He said that along with providing information, the Postal Department is also playing an important role in many life useful services.
More than 16,800 Gramin Dak Sevaks active in Madhya Pradesh
The Chief Minister said that more than 16 thousand 800 energetic Gramin Dak Sevaks are working in Madhya Pradesh. These servants are making important contribution in providing postal services as well as economic empowerment in the villages. Under the leadership of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Postal Department is reaching new heights and creating new possibilities for development in rural areas.
