Havan has a special place in Hindu religious rituals. In Havan, offerings are made through mantras and applying tilak of ashes is considered very auspicious. Many devotees apply tilak of this ash, but there is a need to understand its importance deeply. Famous astrologer Dr. Basavaraj Guruji has explained about Bhasma. He was asked the question for how long can the ash tilak be applied, to which he replied.
He said that it can be kept till the Sun enters from one zodiac sign to another. Lord Surya is the eye of the entire world, earth and sky and is the power that sustains the five elements. Therefore, this Tilak can be applied on the forehead for a month i.e. till the period when the Sun remains in any zodiac sign. Then it can be immersed in a river or kept at a holy place where no one goes. Keeping the tilak of ashes in this manner gives very auspicious results.
Applying Tilak awakens Ajna Chakra.
Guruji said that in the Hindu tradition the forehead is given special importance because the Ajna Chakra is located in the middle of the forehead. Applying Tilak awakens the Ajna Chakra and provides relief from vision defects. Tilak is a symbol of divine power and takes us to a satvik state. It is also said in the Puranas that demons also used to apply Tilak, although they had unlimited power, but due to not being able to use their intelligence properly, they remained evil. Applying Tilak increases power.
He said that the ashes of the ashes include ghee and many herbs. Applying this ash as a tilak on the forehead removes negative energy, increases thinking power and improves life by balancing the emotions of the mind. Evil spirits cannot enter the body. Scientifically, the ghee and herbs present in the ashes of Homa have medicinal properties. Our body is made up of five elements and these medicinal properties provide positive energy to the body. Mental stress reduces and sacred feelings increase.
Tilak made of ashes brings auspicious results
Guruji says that applying Tilak of Bhasma on various occasions gives auspicious results. People taking exams, participating in marriage discussions, involved in land deals, going for job interviews and attending court proceedings can apply it. Guruji advised that it provides positive energy and is helpful in achieving positive results.
