Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved two new bridges in Narmada district at a cost of Rs 302.40 crore. This will provide better connectivity to more than 18 thousand people of 11 villages. Students and Uttaravahini Parikrama passengers will also get great benefit.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has taken an important decision to provide better and easy transportation facility to the district and tehsil headquarters to more than 18 thousand people of 11 villages of tribal area Narmada district. With this decision, remote rural areas will directly benefit from main roads and administrative centres.
Approval for construction of two new bridges worth Rs 302.40 crore
The Chief Minister has approved works worth a total of Rs 302.40 crore for the construction of two new bridges in Narmada district.
- Rs 123.13 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of bridge from Regan Ghat to Rampura Ghat.
- Rs 179.27 crore has been sanctioned for the bridge connecting Sheherao Ghat to Tilakwara Ghat.
The objective of these projects is to strengthen the road and transport infrastructure in the tribal area, so that the villagers can get easy mobility throughout the year.
Direct benefits to many villages including Tilakwara, Vasan, Rengan, Rampura
The construction of these two bridges will provide great relief to the people living in Tilakwara, Vasan, Rengan, Rampura, Mangrol and Sheherao and other villages of North and South region of Narmada district. Villagers will now take less time to reach the district and tehsil headquarters. Also, transportation for business, health services and other important works will be easy.
Better road facilities for students even in monsoon
With the construction of these bridges, school and college going students will get special benefits. Especially during monsoon days, when transportation in river and ghat areas becomes difficult, students will still have access to safe and easy road facilities. This will reduce obstacles in education.
Uttaravahini Parikrama passengers get the benefit of 17 kilometers less distance
A large number of devotees participate in the Uttaravahini Parikrama organized every year in the month of Chaitra in Nandod and Tilakwara tehsils. With the construction of these two bridges, Parikrama pilgrims will have to cover a distance of about 17 kilometers less. This will save time and fuel, and will also make travel more convenient.
