Swiggy Instamart will now partner with HPCL to deliver LPG cylinders in Bengaluru. Customers can order 10 and 5 kg cylinders from the app. This facility is also available for people without regular connection.
New Delhi: Now your LPG cylinder will be delivered directly to your home from Swiggy’s Instamart. Swiggy has signed a big deal with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for this. This is the first time in the country that an e-commerce app will deliver LPG cylinders. It is believed that this partnership will bring a big change in the way LPG distribution is done. Under this service, HPCL’s new 10 kg ‘HP Navya’ LPG cylinder will be delivered to people’s homes. Initially this service will be available only in Bengaluru. Apart from ‘HP Navya’, 5 kg LPG cylinders can also be ordered through Instamart.
The most special thing about this service is that those who do not have regular domestic LPG connection can also take advantage of it. This facility is very useful for those students, working people and small families who stay away from home for studies or work. HPCL is offering this as a flexible option.
Customers can order cylinders from Instamart app. For those who are buying the cylinder for the first time, it will be considered a new purchase. Subsequently, the empty cylinder will have to be returned at the time of delivery for refill orders. The delivery work will be done through the authorized distributor network of HPCL. Only trained employees will deliver the cylinders to homes safely. It will be necessary to get the identity proof (ID proof) checked on the first order.
Commenting on this new initiative, Amitesh Jha, CEO, Instamart, said, “Instamart has now become an essential part of people’s everyday lives beyond just groceries. By partnering with HPCL, we are also bringing cooking gas delivery to Instamart with safety and reliability.” At the same time, HPCL Director (Marketing) Amit Garg said that customers can be easily reached through fast digital platforms like Instamart. However, no information has been given yet about the price of the cylinders.
