An MoU was signed between Invest UP and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore. This agreement will strengthen industrial development, digital transformation, urban planning and investment ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.

Singapore/Lucknow. During Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Invest UP, the investment promotion agency of the Uttar Pradesh government, and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), an organization representing the interests of the Singapore government. This agreement is the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership towards strengthening institutional capacity, strengthening policy framework and creating a better investment ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.

Focus on sustainable development and increasing industrial competitiveness

Under this MoU, both the parties will promote sustainable economic development in Uttar Pradesh through exchange of thematic knowledge, technical cooperation and consultancy services. The objective of the agreement is to enhance industrial competitiveness in the state, accelerate digital transformation and strengthen the development of modern infrastructure. This will help in making the state competitive at the global level.

Training, Study Visits and Capacity Building Programs

As per the agreement, both sides will organize study visits and leadership delegations. Additionally, training and capacity building programs will be designed and implemented. This will improve administrative capacity, efficiency and skill development. Technical guidance and support will also be provided to people associated with the government and private sector.

Technical cooperation and joint work on projects

Under the MoU, both the institutions will jointly prepare and implement projects related to technical cooperation. If necessary, separate written agreements will be made for specific projects, clearly specifying the scope, timeline and financial provisions. It has been decided that negotiations on detailed project agreements will begin within two months and efforts will be made to finalize them within six months.

Singapore’s experience will be available in urban planning, logistics and digital governance

Through this partnership, Uttar Pradesh will benefit from the administrative experience of Singapore. Singapore’s expertise will be harnessed, particularly in areas such as urban planning, industrial cluster development, logistics management and digital governance. This agreement is being considered an important achievement towards global participation and long-term development vision of Uttar Pradesh.
