An air ambulance going from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Chatra. All 7 people on board including the patient died in this accident. The family had taken a loan of Rs 8 lakh for the treatment of the patient.

Ranchi: A family took a loan of Rs 8 lakh to save their family member so that he could be taken to a big hospital in Delhi by air ambulance. But fate had something else in store. Shortly after taking off from Ranchi, the air ambulance crashed in Chatra district of Jharkhand and all 7 people on board lost their lives. This painful story is about the family of 41 year old Sanjay, who was trying everything possible to save him.

In this accident, two pilots, a doctor, a paramedic and patient Sanjay and two of his family members were killed. This air ambulance was of Beechcraft C-90 model, which was being run by Delhi-based company Redbird Airways. The family had earlier tried to sell their land for Sanjay’s treatment, but when things did not work out, they borrowed from friends and took a loan from a bank to finance his treatment and air ambulance at a private hospital in Delhi.

Sanjay was the sole earning member of the house. On Monday, there was a fire in his small hotel, in which he got badly burnt. Sanjay, his wife Archana and a close relative Dhruv Kumar were in the air ambulance. All the people killed in the accident have been identified. These include Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, co-pilot Sarvdeep Singh, Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, paramedic Sachin Kumar Mishra, patient Sanjay, his wife Archana and relative Dhruv Kumar.

The family was taking Sanjay to Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. The air ambulance took off from Ranchi and disappeared from radar after just 23 minutes, after which news of its crash came.
