Lucknow murder case: The body of businessman Manvendra Singh, who was missing since February 20, was found in a blue drum of the house in Ashiana, Lucknow. Police arrested the 21-year-old son on charges of murder. The incident was revealed after a dispute over studies.
Lucknow. A news has come out from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which has shocked everyone. The body of liquor and drug businessman Manvendra Singh (49), who was missing since February 20, has been recovered in a blue drum from his own house. In this case, the police have arrested his 21 year old son Akshat Pratap Singh. The things that have come to light in the initial interrogation raise big questions on the father-son relationship.
Was missing since February 20, dead body found at home
On February 20, a missing complaint of Manvendra Singh was lodged at Ashiana police station. Family and police were busy searching for him. During the investigation, the police found some suspicious signs inside the house. When son Akshat was strictly interrogated, the matter came to light.
According to the police, at around 4.30 am on February 20, there was an argument between the father and son regarding studies. Manvendra Singh used to motivate his son to prepare for competitive examinations. Due to this the argument escalated and in anger the son shot his father with a rifle.

Attempt to destroy evidence after murder
Police say that after the murder, Akshat brought the body down from the third floor and kept it in an empty room on the ground floor. There he cut the dead body into pieces. Some parts were reportedly dumped near Sadrauna area, while the rest of the body was hidden in a blue drum.
On Monday evening, the police reached the house along with the accused, from where the torso kept in a drum was recovered. The police are now searching for the head part and the accused is being interrogated continuously. Forensic team was called on the spot and evidence was collected.
The incident took place in front of the sister, the mother had already died.
According to the report, the sister was also present in the house when this incident occurred. It is alleged that the son shot his father in front of his sister and later cut the body into pieces with a machine. He scared his sister and asked her to keep quiet. It is being told that the mother of the family has already passed away.
In this case, DCP Central Vikrant Veer said that the accused son is being detained and interrogated. On the basis of the evidence collected, a case will be registered under relevant sections and further legal action will be taken. Manvendra Singh lived with his family in L-91, Sector-L of Ashiana police station area of Lucknow. He was involved in the liquor and drug business and was considered a well-known businessman in the area.
