Pune (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 16 (ANI): A team of Pune Rural Police reached Khatu Shyam Mandir in Rajasthan to confirm the news of the alleged marriage between Sia Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, accused in connection with the Ketan Agarwal murder case. A senior police officer gave this information on Wednesday.
According to the official, the police had sought CCTV footage from the temple premises as part of the verification process. However, no CCTV footage was found.
Earlier, reports had surfaced that Sia Goyal and Chetan Choudhary reportedly had a secret wedding at the Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan.
Both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary are currently lodged in Yerwada Central Jail in judicial custody in connection with the Ketan Aggarwal murder case. His current judicial custody is scheduled to end on Thursday, when he is expected to be produced in the court for further orders.
Police have not officially confirmed the alleged marriage and said the verification process is part of the ongoing investigation into the case.
Victim’s mother appealed to PM Modi for justice
Meanwhile, the victim’s mother Rakhi Agarwal on Tuesday wrote an emotional letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking justice and his personal intervention in the murder case of her son. Describing the devastating impact of the loss on her family, Rakhi Agarwal said her “whole world has been torn apart” after her son’s brutal murder.
The letter read, “My son was brutally murdered, and with him, my entire world was gone. Every corner of our house reminds me of him. His room, his clothes, his photographs and the silence that replaced his laughter remind me every day that he will never come back.”
The grieving mother also highlighted the double grief faced by the family after this incident. He reveals that Ketan’s grandfather, unable to bear the shock of the murder, passed away in less than three weeks. (ANI)
